Explanation :Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar was the first Muslim Governor of Punjab. Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar political career starts when he was elected as Municipal Commissioner of Peshawar during 1929 to 1938. In addition he joined All-India Muslim League and became a confidante of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah. During 1932 to 1936 he was a member of All India Muslim League Council. After that 1937 to 1945 he was a member of Northwest Frontier Province(NWFP) legislative Assembly.
After the Punjab Provincial government in 1949 Sardar Nishtar was appointed Governor of Punjab. Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar effectively ran Governorship for 2 years upto 1951.
In conclusion, Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar was the first Muslim Governor of Punjab.
